Philosophers

After losing the Peloponnesian war the people of Athens started to question the world around them. These people who asked complicated question that were addressed to their own ethics, beliefs and gods, were called philosophers. One of these great philosophers was Socrates; he was sentenced to death because he corrupted the youth of Athens and neglected the city’s gods. Then there was Plato, he wrote a book called “The Republic”. One of their legacies is the scientific method which was left by Aristotle.
